The overall purpose of the institute is to manage and accumulate the knowledge and experience of the Faculty. The IEI aims to establish academic links between the University-Faculty and the productive, industrial, governmental and educational sectors. It emphasises outreach but seeks to strengthen the relationships between research, innovation, outreach, testing, continuing education and publications.
